Governance

The legal entity, the asset lock, the policy framework and the compliance position.

The legal entity

A Community Interest Company, newly established and properly governed

Kiwi Housing CIC is registered in England and Wales, company number 17202456, with a registered office in Tyne and Wear. We are registered with the Information Commissioner’s Office. We were incorporated in 2026 and we do not claim a track record we do not have.

The asset lock

As a CIC we are subject to a statutory asset lock. Our assets and any surplus are permanently committed to our community purpose and cannot be extracted for private benefit. We report annually to the CIC Regulator.

CIC Regulator

Data protection

We are registered with the Information Commissioner’s Office and maintain a data protection policy covering how resident and partner information is handled.

ICO registered

Property compliance

Every property we manage carries current gas safety, electrical installation and fire risk assessment certification, and is maintained to the standards expected of specialist supported housing.

Certified

Being precise

What we do not claim

A registration you can check and not find is worse than no registration at all. So we set out plainly what we are not.

Not a Registered ProviderWe are not registered with the Regulator of Social Housing. Our homes are let through a partner registered provider, who holds the tenancy or licence and administers housing benefit.

Not CQC registeredWe do not provide regulated care, so CQC registration does not apply to us. The care provider commissioned by the placing authority is regulated in their own right.

No accreditations or awardsWe hold none, and we would rather say so than claim something a commissioner could disprove in thirty seconds.

No published track recordWe were incorporated in 2026. We are newly established and properly governed, and we do not dress that up as anything else.
